Today is International Women’s Day! #EmbraceEquity

Today we recognize the inequities women have faced, celebrate the progress we’ve made and commit to the work still needed to create a world that’s equitable, inclusive and diverse and where differences are celebrated and valued. That’s something I, and our studio stands behind 100%

While there’s been some progress in showcasing more body types in social media, there’s still a lot of work to be done! So I decided to do something about it! I want all women to see that they don’t have to fit a stereotype to be feel beautiful and valued.   I invited past clients to participate in a project, and the response was overwhelming!

Over 2 days, I had 14 past clients come to the studio.  I’m so grateful to these incredible women and excited to share the images with you! We all stripped down to our bras and panties to create images that showcase women of all ages, shapes and sizes rocking what we’ve got, and we had a BLAST! I then launched the Yummy Tummy Project – more on that below!

The Yummy Tummy Project

In clients’ pre-session consults, almost all women tell me that they hate their abdomen, or feel self conscious about it. In my job, I see all bodies and tummies, and they all look normal and natural and beautiful to me. It made me wish every girl & woman could see everyone else’s tummies to see what’s normal and natural, not just what we see in social media.

So I created the ‘Yummy Tummy Project’. The objective is to capture as many women’s abdomens as I can, so girls & women can see that ALL tummies are normal! So far, we have 14 Yummy Tummies, and my goal is to photograph at least 100!
